Carbon offsets for a voluntary market – the responsible consumer

This offset is fondly referred to as gourmet carbon: a legitimate offset with the added benefits of social and environmental impacts that guarantee a smart investment.

Social and Ecosystem variables monitored in the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve

Social Return on Investment (SROI).  In 2007 Social Venture Technology Group first worked with Grupo Ecológico Sierra Gorda to begin to apply the tool in an attempt to measure the return of investment reflected in the different programs.  The current SROI  indicators  give the Sierra Gorda Alliance organizations the means to inform various publics of donors about the  impacts generated by the work being carried out.
